Reactions of Alkenes
|Hydroboration of alkenes is stereospecific and regiospecific (anti-Markovnikov). Both the hydrogen and hydroxyl groups are ultimately added on the same face of the double bond (syn addition) with the hydroxyl group situated on the less substituted carbon.|
In trying to convey the sense of required knowledge for the MCAT, I want to say that hydroboration is on the fence. Just my sense of it.
